Project overview
For more than 60 years Darrell has hand-harvested rare Chittum burl in North Alabama and South-Central Tennessee. The website presents one-of-a-kind pieces to knifemakers, woodturners and collectors.
Darrell’s Chittum Wood supplies Chittum burl, which comes from the American smoketree, as blanks, slabs and finished items such as duck calls, fly boxes, spoons, vases and knife handles. Every piece is one of a kind, so the photos on the site show the exact blank a customer receives.
